Privacy Policy

This page explains what we collect when you use geteyesopen.com, why, and who sees it. Eyes Open is run by Blue Eyed Capital LLC ("we", "us"). Questions or requests: hello@geteyesopen.com.
What we collect
When you sign up for the weekly lesson: your email address, plus the page you signed up on.
When you apply for Open Book: your first and last name, email address, and your answers to five questions: how many units and buildings you have, whether you own them, manage them or both, your biggest building problem, what you've already tried, and what a good result looks like. The last two are optional.
When you buy a guide: our payment processor, Stripe, sends us your name and email address, plus your phone number and billing address if you gave them at checkout. We also get the product you bought, the amount, the order number and the date. We never see or store your card number. It goes to Stripe only.
Where you came from: when you send a form, it also sends the campaign tags in the link you clicked (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content), the site that sent you (the referrer), and the first page you landed on.
How the site is used: we count page views and a few clicks (sign-ups, applications, Buy buttons) with Vercel Web Analytics. It does not use cookies and does not ask us to identify you.
Spam protection: each form has a hidden field that only bots fill in. If it's filled, we drop the entry.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets no cookies. It uses your browser's own storage for two small things:
- Session storage keeps where your visit started (the campaign tags, referrer and first page) until you close the tab, so a form can send them.
- Local storage remembers that you've seen the Open Book pop-up, so it doesn't show again.
Neither holds your name or email. You can clear both in your browser settings.
Payment happens on Stripe's own checkout page, not on our site. Stripe's page follows Stripe's privacy policy.
Why we use it
- To send you the weekly lesson and the free guide you asked for.
- To deliver the guides you buy, and to handle refunds.
- To review your Open Book application and reply to you.
- To learn which posts and links bring people to the site, so we know what's useful.
- To keep bots and spam out.
When you buy a guide, we also sign you up for the weekly lesson. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We don't rent it or trade it either.
We share it only with the services that run the site and the business for us:

If you subscribe through our Substack (newsletter.blueeyedcapital.com), Substack collects your email under its own privacy policy, and we copy your email into our contact list.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact details while you're subscribed, or for as long as we need them to serve you. Purchase records are kept as long as federal, state and local tax and accounting laws require. Ask us to delete your details at any time and we will, except for records the law requires us to keep.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email hello@geteyesopen.com.
- See, correct or delete your details: email hello@geteyesopen.com. We'll reply within 30 days.
- Block analytics or storage: your browser's privacy settings and ad blockers work on this site.
Children
Eyes Open is for building owners and managers. It is not meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us their details, email us and we'll delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is big, we'll tell subscribers by email.
